Scope of the Role The Sr. Merchandising Manager is responsible for the online merchandising and marketing communication for our catalog & successfully elevating our key products, categories, and marketing campaigns to create an engaging and relevant experience for our visitors to drive sales and engagement. The Sr. Merchandising Manager will be a key player within our Channel department, acting as a hub between category management, marketing, and the creative team, in order to ensure BCP products stories are communicated through PDP and site contents. A product oriented, analytical team leader with attention to detail that is organized and has good communication skills, this role will act as the lead and project manager to execute our marketing calendar in both DTC and marketplace merchandising and marketing efforts. A flexible and quick learner with hands-on experience of e-Commerce retail industry and the ability to multi-task will be key success in our fast- paced environment will be both an individual contributor and an employee-managing member of the Channel Marketing team. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain and drive execution of rolling 12-month marketing calendar including key sales events, new product launches, etc
  • Own and drive strategy for the presentation and usage of BCP digital content assets across all selling channels
  • Act as main liaison and project manager between category mgmt, marketing, creative and product development to build and execute sitewide campaigns on BCP's DTC website and MP storefronts
    • Ensuring the correct products are merchandised on site and in campaigns
    • Ensuring creative assets are in line with product sales targets, brand messaging & are on track to be delivered on time & meets needs of creative team
  • Own and report on performance metrics of site & campaigns (MP & DTC)
    • Maintain site heat map and page performance on traffic and conversion
    • Offer insights gained from marketplace data to optimize content creation
    • Report on incremental sales performance of each campaign
  • Work with UI/UX manager to optimize existing & develop new capabilities to improve conversion or engagement performance
  • Merchandise and present the assortment and sales messaging on the BCP site and marketplace partner sites, maintaining product and seasonal relevancy on-brand messaging
  • Perform A/B testing where available to determine best communication practices
  • Identify opportunities for growth by monitoring best sellers, anticipating seasonal and industry trends, analyzing historical performance for all categories.
  • Build template for submissions into marketing campaigns and site features
  • Develop cross selling opportunities on DTC sites and marketplace listings where available.
  • Inform Enhanced Content Product page content process to define the features and imagery to craft the appropriate story on the given product
  • Oversee product copy for video assets and A+ content copy and it's application into product assets
Qualifications & Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years online retail experience in a merchandising or marketing capacity
  • Experienced with Shopify ecommerce platform or equivalent platform
  • Experience in managing and developing team members
  • Strong knowledge of online marketplace operations, best practices, guidelines and platforms (Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc)
  • Customer driven, product focused approach to retail business.
  • Highly analytical and goal oriented
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Comfortable with presenting data to all employee levels
  • Experienced in common analytic and project management software (google analytics, Jira, Confluence, etc)
  • Proficient in MS Office, graphic design programs a plus
